ROUND 2 2025 SYNERGY SURVEYS WA STATE ROAD RACING CHAMPIONSHIP REPORT
Sunday 27th April saw the running of the Round 2 2025 SYNERGY SURVEYS WA STATE ROAD RACING CHAMPIONSHIPS at the Collie Motorplex. The day’s proceedings were a little delayed as the circuit was shrouded in fog, but once that cleared the day was perfect for racing. Following two brief practice sessions for each class, racing got underway. However following a serious racing incident in the second Superbike race, that race was declared with half points awarded and the remainder of the races in the second round ran reduced laps and the third round was cancelled due to time restraints.
The Dynapumps Superbike Championship got the day’s racing underway and what a race it was. When the lights went out Sam Clarke (Rick Gill Motorcycles Suzuki GSXR1000R) went to the front and was never troubled over the 8 lap journey and along the way he took the outright lap record for Motorcycles with a time of 1:07.4420 seconds. Second was Bronson Pickett (GoMoto Store Yamaha R1) Ben Stronach (Grundfos Yamaha R1) and Adam Senior (Senior Engineering Yamaha R1) had a race long battle for the minor podium place with Stronach prevailing. Fourth was Ross Hudson (Track Action Yamaha R1) with Jason Keenehan (Trakdayz Kawasaki ZX-10R) rounding out the top five. The second race saw the same top four running when the race was declared with Keenehan and Hudson swapping positions. Clarke took the round win with 37 points, second was Pickett with 30 points, Third was Stronach with 27 points with Senior two points in arrears.

The RS Contracting C Grade Superbike Series saw the round win go to Jason Keenehan with 37 points. Second was Andrew Shields (Yamaha R1) with 30 points and rounding out the top three was Mitchell Carr (Campbell Road Automotive & Motorcycles Honda CBR1000RR-R SP) with 27 points

The Cully’s Yamaha Supersport Championship saw the defending champion Callum O’Brien (Premier Services Australia Kawasaki ZX-6R) take two impressive wins for the round win. O’Brien also set a new Supersport lap record with a time of 1:08.7780 seconds. Second in each race was Jordan White (GoMoto Store Yamaha R6) with Adam Senior (Marine Pro West Honda CBR600RR) and Calvin Moylan (Manic Clothing Brand Yamaha R6) both having a third and fourth place.

In the Northside Motorcycles C Grade Supersport Series Hayden Treversh (Turn 1 Motorsports Kawasaki Ninja ZX-6R) took the round win in the ‘C’ Grade Series with Lauchy Williams (Turn One Motorsports Yamaha R6) second and Ryan Pietsch (GoMoto Store Yamaha R6) in third place.

The flashpixx.net Sidecar Championship saw Darren Nash/Cooper Mapstone (RHR Kawasaki ZX- 10R) untroubled in their two races taking comfortable wins Murray Stronach/Darryl McLeod (Turnapart Engineering Suzuki 1000) took second in the first race and third in the second, with Morgan Marshall/Matt Mcleish (City Panel Truck Repairs Kawasaki ZX-10R) were third in the first race and second in the second race. Best of the F2 class were Steven McQueen/Max Perrin (Coppin Road Customs Watson F2) with outright fourth place on the day. Nash/Mapstone took the round win with 50 points second were Marshall/ McLeish with 38 points tied with Stronach/McLeod, McQueen/Perrin fourth with 32 points. First F2 home on the day was Steve McQueen/ Max Perrin.

The Campbell Road Automotive & Motorcycles Production Championship saw Lauchy Williams (Trakdayz Yamaha R3) take the wins in both races. Second in the first race was Kobi Treversh (Team Tea Yamaha R3) with Joel Jenzen(Liquid Army Yamaha R3) taking third place. Jason Keenehan (Loftys Race Paint Honda CBR 250) was fourth and the best of the ‘Production Lights’ and Keiran Webb (Yamaha R3) rounded out the top five. In the second race Keenehan took second place with Treversh in third place, Jenzen was fourth and Webb again rounded out the top five. Williams took the round win with 50 points, second was Treversh with 38 points with Keenehan third overall with 37 points.

In the On Track Motorcycles Production Lights Series Jason Keenehan was the best of the Lights with Rob Wheeler (Waroona Electrical Services Kawasaki Ninja 300) in second place and Dain Hutton (On Track Motorcycles Kawasaki Ninja 300) in third place. The Ducati Perth BEARS Series saw Ross Hudson (IDB WA Ducati 1199 Panigale) take the win in each race with Jack Langley (Northside Motorcycles Triumph Daytona 675) and Chris Cull(Oxford Project Services BMW S1000RR) each taking a second and third place. Best of the ‘BEARS’ F2 was Jack Langley.

In the SBK Imports Clubman Series Will Power (Track Action Yamaha R1) and newcomer Luke Whillians (Yamaha R1) took a win apiece. Power took the win in race one from Luke Haywood (Westwide Air Conditioning Services Yamaha R1) with Whillians in third place. In the second race it was Whillians who greeted the chequered with Craig Hutchinson (MINTOX Racing Ducati Panigale V2) with Power third. Daniel Colgrove (Perth Commercial Epoxy Flooring Honda CBR1000RR) was fourth in both races.
