Rider Preparation For Tuning Days

 

Minimum Standards.

Minimum Standard

Helmet Full face, in good condition (no chips,grazes and missing gelcoat) and must have a ASA 1698 label.
Boots Leather, and when you sit on the bike no skin showing between boots and leathers pant.
Gloves Leather again, and no skin between gloves and sleeves when you’re on the bike.
Leathers One piece road race leathers, in good condition are preferred or you can use a two piece leather suit, but the jacket and pants will need to be attached to each other, i.e. zipped, laced. press studs etc.Leather touring suits are okay but not Belstaffs, waxed cotton, denim blue pants or MX nylons.
Back Protectors Back protectors are now compulsory and must be worn under leathers or be built into the leathers.

 

Medical Facilities at Wanneroo

The MCRCWA ensures that trained first aid personnel are in attendance at both Race and Tuning Days.
These personnel man the circuit medical centre located on the "infield" under the tower and use an equiped ambulance also parked infield.In the event of a fall or accident you must report to the Medical Centre to be checked out.

 

Competitor Insurance

Motorcycling Australia have introduced a national insurance policy for all licence holders for Capital Benefits’ only which is included in the licence fee.

For full details of the benefits please refer to the Australian Manual of Motorcycle Sport.

This policy DOES NOT COVER medical or ambulance expenses nor does it provide a weekly benefit for loss of income.

It is strongly recommended that you take out additional insurance to coven medical expenses and loss of wages.

The MCRC recommends Combined Insurance of Australia Ph: 1800 226 012

 

Personal Effects

You are reminded to remove all jewellery false teeth and any other artificial aids that you may have. They could cause injury and this warning is for your own safety.

Ensure the medical information form attached to the MCRCWA Club Membership form is completed as these forms are given to the Medical Centre personnel on race and tuning days.

 

Refreshments and Water

The Club Canteen on Tuning Days is in operation from 10:30am offering light snacks and refreshments at reasonable prices. This facility is run by volunteer members and all funds received are directed back into the Club.

Bring your own fresh water, supplies, especially iced water in the summer months. Tap water at the Circuit is bore water.
